Here's My House!!
Any paint color advice is appreciated! I think I want to make the dining room red, but I am not sure what color to paint the living room - tan, gold, some shade of green? Hmm......
MY HOUSE!!
ETA: Thanks to everyone for always giving great advice during the whole home buying process! I would have been lost without all of you!!  I'm sure I will have tons of silly questions in the future!

Congrats!! Really beautiful house-and what great condition! Looks like from the pics, you really could leave it the way it is till youre ready to make changes- your lucky for that! Where is it? Lots of luck

Thanks. Yes, we can leave it as is if we wanted to. We are pretty psyched that we don't have to do anything except paint really. but on the flip side I wish we did have something to re-do so we can put our own stamp on it! It's in Bethpage and Blu-ize lives right near me!

Your house is beautiful..perfect. You will get it to your liking in time. Take it easy!! Remember you don't want to re-do this stuff 4 years from now like we are doing! 
Either way, I'm sure it will be beautiful.
How about a chocolate brown wall in the living room as an accent with gold for the rest of the walls. Jewel toned area rug in persimmon, sage and bronze. Keep the built ins white.
Careful with red..from what I've learned about painting the walls red, people get sick of it quickly. Then again it's only paint and you can re-do it simply.

I'm sure you will make it your own. I would love to come over. Since we will be living so close we can go shopping together for stuff for our homes..also, since I'm re-doing some rooms as well.
It's fun and frustrating all at the same time.
Have your parents seen the house? DH's parents?

Can I just share with you - this made me rethink my refrigerator idea.
I have been set against the counter depth but now I see why so many people buy them.

I'm sure it does not look as bad in person. I may still go with the french door LG (not counter depth).

Wow, Wow, Wow, I love it!!! Every room looks amazing. I love the brick work in the front, the deck and everything. You are so lucky that you don't really have that much to do to move in. I am in the process of picking colors and decorating maybe we can all give each other ideas! Congrats on a great choice. How much fun are you going to have on that patio!!

About the deck - someone just told us not to power wash - cause you can see the lines. They told us about a wash you can use and it comes out sooo much better and then you re-stain it
