More pics I found:
Here's over 500 pics from people who took pics of the area and uploaded them to a news site:

Re: Hershey Park flooded!
Knoebels posted some pics on their fan page and the devastation there is awful as well. Dutch Wonderland said they plan on being open this weekend, so at least it wasn't too bad for them.

Re: Hershey Park flooded!
So sad... So much devastation in so many areas of the Northeast between this storm and Irene.

I read that the bison were shot.
One drowned, and the other was euthanized before it could suffer from drowning.

We have tickets that we purchased for Hershey Park that expire 9/25. Do you think they will refund us?
They say they will be open next week.

I saw this on FB. Seriously, breaks my heart! We were there in August and I can't even believe it!
My heart breaks, especially for the animals.

I was wondering how they did it.
I really think they did their best and they are devastated in their loss.
I can't stop thinking about this all day. I was just there and never would I think something like this could happen there.

ITA. I believe wholeheartedly that the people there did make a real effort to save these animals, but we can't fight against mother nature, she always wins. Who knows maybe it came to a point where it would be too dangerous for the caretakers to continue trying to rescue the bison? Thank goodness that no human life was lost, even though it is very sad about the bison.
