Hi from the hospital - Introducing my little boy!!

7lbs, 15 ounces & 20 inches long
My water broke at 1am yesterday morning. Since I tested positive for beta strep the Dr. had me go to the hospital immediately. After getting checked in they gave me antibiotics that I had a bad allergic reaction to. They had to stop them immediately and give me Benadryl. I ended up spending the next few hours completely groggy and barely remembering any contractions (imagine that!). Around 9am the Dr. comes and urges me to get an epidural since we needed to use Pitocin to jump start my labor - since my water already broke. Turns out that my body wouldn't go into real active labor without the pitocin, however everytime I had the pitocin the babies heart rate dropped dangerously low. It was really scary 2 times to have about 10 people run in the room making me do all sorts of things to get it back up. The Dr. said we would try the pitocin one more time, very slowly. DH went to get coffee and my mom was with me and all of a sudden the Dr. comes running in with a bunch of people saying that we were going for a C section immediately - his heart rate dropped again. I was also stuck at 2cm so I would never have progressed without the pitocin. Within 5 minutes I was in the OR and met my baby boy shortly after. The C section from start to finish took 20 min but was by far the weirdest experience of my life. But of course I would do it a million more times for the prize I got at the end. As soon as I met my boy I was sobbing like a baby.
He is such a great baby, I am so in love. He is doing so well, I on the other hand am hurting but look forward to feeling better every day. Right now Dh and Brady are cuddling watching tv together 
Anyhow, thank you all for the well wishes, I truly appreciate them! I can't believe I am a mommy

He is so adorable! I am sorry that you had such a difficult labor (but at least you don't remember those contractions!). Congratulations on your beautiful baby Brayden!!!

Congratulations on your little boy! It stinks that you had to go through all that but it's definitely all worth it!!
