Hi girls. 22 hours later, I am back from the hospital...
So I took everyone's advice and just called my dr. yesterday and she had me go straight to L&D at Stony Brook last night. Luckily, everything is ok, however, the hell I was put through last night and all day today was so stressful, I am just drained. They had basically just resigned to the fact that I have preeclampsia last night. My blood pressure was sky high, my feet were uber swollen and my vision loss and spots were apparently pointing towards preeclampsia. So, they basically sat there telling me they were going to have to take the baby from me right away and that everything would be ok because, even though she'd be pre-term, I'm very close to the end. Ok, so of course, this freaked the f-ing sh-t out of me and JT. Well, my blood came back and they decided, no, I don't have preeclampsia. I then passed out right there on the table, and they were like, ok you're dehydrated. Gee, ya think? So they hooked me up onto some fluids and my blood pressure came back down. Ok, great. So THEN, I was still having vision problems, so the neurologist got involved and basically told me that it didn't sound like a migraine, that it might be a stroke. At this point, I was just ready to just break down because I was so freaked out. They told me that I had to spend the night because they needed to monitor me and the baby and in the morning I had to go for an MRI. However, they didn't want to admit me until they knew what was wrong. That sounded fine to me. But no one realized that if they didn't admit me, they wouldn't be able to get me food on the L&D floor, and no one would give an answer as to whether or not I was able to eat or drink anything. So I went from 5:00 yesterday to 9am today with no food or water to drink. Thank god for the amazing nurses there because they went and got toast for me so I could eat a little something. Then I had to have the MRI this morning. I was really freaked out about having this, but I figured, I just had to go with the flow because I wanted to know what was wrong, if anything. And had I known what I know now, I NEVER in a million years would have agreed to an MRI while pregnant. My poor little girl was so freaked out inside me that I am still crying thinking about the trauma she went through today. I thought she was going to dig her way out of me. All those sudden, loud noises scared her so much. I've never felt anything like it in my life, and I hope to god I never feel anythign like it again. I feel like an awful mother for allowing these people to do an MRI on me while pregnant. They KNEW what would happen, they had to have. But they just told me, oh, you might feel her move a little, but don't worry. I just feel horrible, especially because everything was fine on the MRI and I put her through that for nothing . So 22 hours later, they basically told me I was dehydrated, and had a migraine that the MRI couldn't pick up because it had already passed. I am very happy that everything is ok, however, the run around I got at that hospital between last night and today was absolutely not worth it. I will say, though, that I thank god for the nurses there. They were truly amazing and caring and understanding. When it comes down to it, I'm glad I'm ok and that my little girl is ok, but I feel so stressed now after being there for so long and enduring things I honestly feel were completely unnecessary. So thank you again to everyone for your advice and concern. We're doing well. Tired and drained, but good

I am so glad you are OK. I know it was probably horrible but it was worth it because thank goodness everything was fine, but it could have not been. DO NOT feel guilty.

Re: Hi girls. 22 hours later, I am back from the hospital...
I went through almost an identical experince as you when I was PG 9 years ago at Stony Brook L & B. I had an MRI at 25 weeks PG while in contractions from pre term labor. It was awful and ended up showing nothing. Im glad at least there is nothing wrong and you are starting to feel better.
