Hi! Introducing myself...
Under my regular name I am an infrequent poster, but for a lot of years.
After 4 years of TTC, unexplained infertility, 4 REs, lots of meds and IUIs...our 1st shot at IVF worked! Out of 2 mature eggs they got, both fertilized, both were transferred. In our first scan at 5w2d, they saw a little sac.
Just had our second scan done and saw a little heartbeat!  And a possible second sac but they told us to not get our hopes up. of couse I have! They said they think they see a yolk, but week 7 will be the defining week.
I am so nervous about something going wrong. This is my first time getting this far so I have no reason to be nervous, but I REALLY am.
It also doesn't help that at 6w4d, I still don't really have symptoms other than what I attribute to the progesterone suppositories!
Anyway, congrats to all and I look forward to chatting with everyone along our journeys!

congrats! i had something similar, we put back 2 embies and had betas on the higher side. at our first sono at 6w1d we saw one heartbeat and one smaller sac. the smaller sac stayed empty, the heartbeat became my DD! i was sad at the time but now that my  is almost a year old i cannot even fathom having twins, and i give twin mamas all the credit in the world because one takes ALL of my attention. good luck and congrats!!

Thanks everyone!
And thanks, Flowerwife for sharing your story and perspective. While the idea is so exciting, I am trying to focus on getting the chance to have ANY after all these years! I know I'll be grateful either way.
Totally had a dream last night that I went to the hospital because I thought my water broke, but everything was fine. And I was like 6 months along with two! They kept saying they were going to do a c-section, and I kept saying, "but I am due in DECEMBER!"
Yikes, and this is only the beginning
