High Chairs?

We were looking at the Eddie Bauer B is for Bear full sized high chair. Is anyone getting this or has it, likes it, etc? If not, which are you getting or have?

We think we like the look of a wood one but not 100% sure yet. We also saw one by Fisher Price which can be put on a chair. Space is not an issue, just undecided...

Re: High Chairs?

We liked it a lot (DH looooved it) but my problem with it was A) it doesnt have wheels and B) the seat doesn't recline...and I wanted a chair that had both of those.

This is the same feeling we had about the chair.

Us too and I LOVED it. We ended up getting the Baby Trend Palm Tree print. We just started using it a couple of weeks ago and the wheels are a must-have for us as well as the recline feature since she doesn't sit up yet.

Re: High Chairs?

I loved the look of this highchair and originally put it on my registry. I eventually changed it because I saw babies r us had negative reviews about it from new moms.

I completely agree. Although I love the look of a classic highchair they are not as functional. My mom has the Baby Trend in Palm Tree print and I have to say it's a great highchair! My nephew does well in it and when he's done my SIL reclines him and he goes out for a nap. I have the Prima Pappa by Peg Perego in Oatmeal....

I also loved the look of that one but after reading a few reviews, I decided against it.
I currently have the Aquarium Healthy Care High Chair in my registry. I read very good reviews on it.

Here are some details...

Removable food tray sanitizes in dishwasher
3-position recline; 7 height adjustments, plus converts to booster
Musical aquarium activity center entertains baby during meal preparation
5-point restraint and sturdy steel frame; folds compactly for storage
Machine-washable vinyl-coated fabric pad in aquarium print

I have the Baby Trend Malawi. I think it's pretty much the same as the Palm Tree, but the seat cushion is vinyl so you can wipe it clean. I think the Palm Tree is cotton. The Eddie Bauer is nice, but not as functional. I like how this one reclines, and you can adjust the height, it has wheels and a 5 point harness.

Re: High Chairs?

I definitely like the look of the Eddie Bauer but didn't like the idea of giving up all of the features of new highchairs like adjustable seat position, height, etc. I also am trying to think practical and imagine that I will want something that is completely washable from top to bottom so I'm afraid of wood. I went with the Fisher Price Healthy Care Deluxe as well but couldn't stomach the look of the Aquarium one in my kitchen so we registered for and then bought b/c it's discontinued the patchwork teddy bear one.

Re: High Chairs?

we registered for the Eddie Bauer chair. I just loved the look of it and it fits in with our decor much better. My friend has it (her daughter is now 1) and she has no problems with it.

I have the aquarium one by FP and it is awesome. It is so easy to use and I love the toys on it -- as does my little girl.

Re: High Chairs?

I just registered for the Eddie Bauer collection. I guess it depends on each person but I don't feel like I will need the reclining seat. I was a little disappointed about the wheels but got over it.

I have the Eddie Bauer and love the look of it. Until the babies can sit up, I just continue to feed them in their bouncy seats.

Re: High Chairs?

I registered for the FP Aquarium High chair after reading the reviews it received in Baby Bargains. The Eddie Bauer one did not get the best reviews, and I don't like that it's fabric, makes it harder to keep clean.

We have the FP Healthy Care Deluxe (the one before the aquarium one) and I love it. So easy to use and clean, Sarah can't kick the tray off, and she loves playing with toys that can be attached.
