High Hats / Recessed Lighting
I live in an apartment in Great Neck with 9' ceilings. I was quoted $280 per high hat installed, including the light fixture and installation. We need 8 high hats. Does this amount seem too much?

Re: High Hats / Recessed Lighting
The price seems high to me. Do you have attic space above you or do you have another apartment above you? If you have no attic space it is going to cost more to have them installed because the electrican is going to have to snake the wires in.

Re: High Hats / Recessed Lighting
My neighbor said she paid $110/light. She bought them herself and the contractor installed them.
