Re: high risk pregnancy..
I don't know that having a prior m/c and doing fertility treatments would make you high risk.
I know for me, I was high risk because I am diabetic and over 35. I was followed very closely throughout the pregnancy - saw my OB and a perinatalogist. By the last 2 months or so of the pregnancy I would go in once a week to the OB and then the peri once a week as well. I had tons of sonos (a real bonus!) and and a fetal echocardiogram, which are out of the norm for a regular pregnancy.
Good luck!!!

Re: high risk pregnancy..
Hmmm...good question. I think it depends. I got pregnant on my first injectable iui and had a miscarriage at 10 wks. I had a d&c and testing done on the baby. The cause of my miscarriage was a chromosomal abnormality (triploidy). It was so hard to go through all that especially after having to go through so much just to try to get pregnant.
My RE said basically it was a genetic fluke and that is why I miscarried. He said when I get pregnant again, I am not considered high risk based on this. Unfortunately miscarriage is very common. I think 1 in 5 women have a miscarriage in their first trimester. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Re: high risk pregnancy..
i had 2 immune related early m/c and did IVF to get pregnant this time and im not considered high risk. you are considered high risk if there is an issue with the pregnancy or if you have a medical issue prior to pregnancy that leaves you at risk for m/c or other pregnancy-related issues.
technically i have a blood clotting issue that can cause blood clots in the placenta, and im on lovenox and baby aspirin the whole pregnancy. dr. B said i could see a high risk if i wanted to but it was entirely necessary. im seeing the OB he recommended and the OB assured me that if he saw ANYTHING that remotely required high risk maintenance, that he would refer me in a second. im 18w4d and so far so good . i have my level II next week and that everything is where its supposed to be.

Re: high risk pregnancy..
A high risk pregnancy is determined due to * Repeated Pregnancy Loss * Gestational Diabetes * Type I Diabetes * Pregnancy Induced Hypertension (PIH) * Placental Problems * Preeclampsia/Ecclampsia * Chronic Hypertension * History or Current Bout of Preterm Labor (PTL) * Multiples (Twins or Higher)
