Moms who had high BP during pregnancy - please come in, bc I have PIH
I've been recently diagnosed with PIH (pregnancy-induced hypertension). My bloods and urine so far are normal, so no pre-eclampsia yet.
I'm 33 weeks, high BP was discovered at 32 weeks.. They want baby to stay in there until at least 37 weeks so I've been put on bed rest.
I'm monitoring my BP at home and it's fluctuating in the 130's/140's over high 80's/90's (with one or two readings of 100). I have to go to the doc bi-weekly now for checkups.
My at-rest BP (sitting on the couch doing nothing) still seems high, 130's/80's. When I do anything, light walking etc... it shoots up.
Oh and the baby is breech too!
Anybody have this condition? What was your experience? Did it get better with bedrest?

I had pih at about the same time in my second pregnancy. My numbers were somewhat borderline, and I was put on medication and had bi-weekly appointments with sonograms and stress tests. My baby was induced on her due date (although they were initially saying they would be happy if I held the pregnancy until week 37) and was completely healthy.
Take care of yourself and rest, I'm sure you will both be fine.
