High School English Teachers...Question about Writing Folders
I am having such a crappy year so far. I have a new AP and although she is an experienced teacher and has an ED, her knowledge is limited.
We are not working well together and it is starting to wear on me! For four years we have used a standard rubric which is modeled after the ELA Regents rubric. She wants to change all of that!
So, do you have examples of rubrics you use? What about a listing or the contents of the writing folders? Anything else you could provide would be great.
I can fm my email address....

I don't think I can be of any assistance because most of the writing assignments that I do with my classes are Regents based. She wants you to develop rubrics other than the Regents rubric? Does she want you to use this rubric for all essays? Just curious.

My rubrics are also generally Regents based -- well, except for my AP classes, but that's a much more general rubric, too. What kinds of things is she looking to assess if she's changing these rubrics?
