Hip hurts
I'm not sure if this is related to the PG, or what, but my hip hurts - not the muscles, like the bone. Its the side I sleep on, and lately I'll roll to my right side then lean really far over to shut off my alarm clock. Could that be it? I am in so much pain especially when I touch it or even if I bend over, and sometimes when I walk. Should I wait a few days to see if it goes away or do you think I should call my dr. right away? I do see blue veins around there so I thought maybe I was growing, but like I said it feels more like the bone than muscle or skin. Any ideas or advice? TIA!

Re: Hip hurts
I found my hips hurt a lot when I lay on my sides for long periods of time. I started to place a pillow between my knees and found that helps a lot.

Re: Hip hurts
Oh really? I was nervous b/c I know we can't get x-rays so I was like what if something is really wrong? I do lay with a pillow between my knees...we are painting the bedroom this weekend so our furniture is all over - I don't have a nightstand so my alarm clock is on the floor - I thought maybe from reaching over and down I did that. I guess I'll see how I feel in the next few days. I hate to call the dr. for every little thing so figured I'd ask if it was common. Thanks!

Re: Hip hurts
How many weeks are you? You can be having a growth spurt too and your pelvis is just widening to make room for the babies. I would def. mention it to the doctor but I'm sure it's nothing serious.
ETA: If you only sleep on one side I would start switching off. I know left side is best but if it is causing you a lot of pain than you should start alternating from lt to rt.

In my 13th but they're fast growers - they're 14 weeks now. That would make sense. I will ask him next time, thank you so much!!!

Re: Hip hurts
Yeah my hips hurt because your body is preparing for labor- everything needs to spread and widen...your hips, pelvis, etc. to make room for the baby to come down.
