We have it. So far it works for us. Covers everything we need. The only thing that is a little bit of a pain is having to get referrals but since I work in the Medical Group that my Dr is at so when I need a referral I just walk into the Dept & drop off the form.

I deal with a HIP Center (Queens LI Medical Group) through my work. It is hell to deal with them.

I don't go to a HIP Center. I work in a large medical group & see alot of my Drs there including my primary care but do see some specialists out of the bldg.

We have it. NO problems at all. We dont use any specialists so we havent had to get any referrals yet, so I'm not sure how they are with that.

Then I think that the issue is just whether you are okay with the coverage. There is a rumor that some personnel was revamped at the HIP Center that I deal with and I *may* not have as much trouble with them anymore anyway. I have to wait and see.
