hiring managers what are your thoughts?
Ok, I need some opinions here.
DH applied for a job and went on a final interview for the position. It was between him and 2 other people. He got a text message from the recruiter last night saying they have made a decision for the position and asked that he call her with his availability to discuss.
What do you think? Could this be a good thing? Or do you think they will call all final candidates regardless of whether or not they get the job offer? Trying not to get my hopes up too high in case they are just wanting to speak to him to tell him he didn't get it and am looking for other opinions.

Honestly a good recruiter calls all the final candidates to let them know what the outcome is.
But if he didn't get it I would think she would have left a message saying "Thanks, but we went a different way".
So it could be good, could be standard.
Hoping it's good!!! He sounded excited about the prospect at the party the other day.

Thanks Lauren! I definitely appreciate the honest thoughts. I know that we are both probably trying to read way too much into the message! It was actually an email that she sent him. And we both kind of thought if he wasn't selected, she would just say it in an email instead of asking him to schedule time with her to discuss, but again, we could just be getting the hopes up really high!
All I know is that out of all the jobs Chris is interviewing for, this is the one that he really wants. It would be the perfect job for him. I will keep you posted!
