I love this one. I love green and all I've seen is red or black. How do you buy from Talbot's kids? Is it catalog or online?

Little Red Dress Textured Velour Dress
Check out the website -- they have some really nice stuff. They have a sweater dress that I think is BEAUTIFUL!
But I have to agree--this year a lot of what I've seen is just slightly off from what you'd want it to be.

Re: Holiday Dress Search Continues
I went EVERYWHERE last night!! My husband watched the kids & I went on my mission. I called -DonnaMarie- from Lord & Taylor. I had found these cute velvet dresses they had it in red & green. And it was reasonable. But, then I didn't think it looked very comfy for them to wear the whole day. So, I put them back. She officially thinks I am nuts!!
I then went to Buy Buy Baby. They were VERY limited. Thought they have a HUGE selection of Robeez. I was tempted to buy some but, I was on a mission for dresses. So I didn't!
I then went to Century 21. Yes, they did have a big selection but most wasn't my taste. And the one that I liked looked like it was made poorly. So, left there empty handed.
Then it was off to Roosevelt Field I went into Macy's, JC Penney, Jack & Jill, Gymboree & Bloomingdales. Gymboree had a dress that was cute & it was marked down. But, I don't love it. I have no clue why I am overthinking this so much. They could care less. I like some dresses but, not loving that you have to put a shirt underneath. I think sometimes it takes away from the dress.
I might try to search for red tartan (plaid) skirt so that I can get them w/ different colored tops. So, the girls don't have to be dressed EXACTLY alike.
So three hours later I came up with a gallon of milk. Oh & a top for me!

Burlington is also a good suggestion.

yeah when I went to the website DH was standing behind me gorgeous but no way. I saw a dress at Century 21 yesterday that was a dress, bloomers, matching coat, and hat for less than $15, that's more my speed

Re: Holiday Dress Search Continues (updated, STILL searching)
I was just at Macy's in the Massapequa Mall and they had the cutest dress there.
Both were balck velvet on the top and then one was a off white bottom with black swirls on it and the other was red. They were a little fancy but I don't think any more fancy that what your girls wore last year.

Thats the origional dress I wanted. MY husband gave me grief that they will never wear it again so it will be a waste. Please tell me why I listen to him!
