HOME FROM L&D.......
I've had a rough couple of days. On Sunday night, I woke up at 11 at night feeling really wet, so I went to the restroom and the toilet was filled with blood. Bright red blood and lots of it. I went and looked in my bed and it was covered in blood. I said "Oh my god" and Dh woke up, and freaked out. Then I started feeling the contractions. They weren't bad ones but they were coming fast. We went to the hospital and L&D admitted me at 11:30. Well it turns out I went into preterm labor at 32 weeks. They hooked me to an IV and gave me shots to stop the contractions, which worked thank god. Then they did an ultrasound, and the placenta looks great, baby looks great weighing in at 4 pounds 8 ounces. The only problem was I have some extra fluid. They gave me an internal, and I am not dialted but am 50% effaced. They kept me through the night and all yesterday to monitor me, and I have been taking Tributalene every 4 hours to stop contractions. I still am having them but they are very far apart, so hopefully the pills will help me reach the 36 week mark. But they said I am definitely going to have this baby early. So I gues I will be a June mommy afterall. I can't tell you all how scary that was waking up to all that blood. The doctor said it would have been fine if I had to deliver, the baby just would have had to stay in NICU for 4 weeks, and probably would need help breathing. So I am hoping to at least make it to 36 weeks without this little guy coming!

OMG how scary is that. I would be terrified and saying, not yet not yet. I am so glad that the baby is still sitting comfortable in there.
Do they know what caused this so early on?

OMG!!!! I can't imagine the scare you and your DH must have had.
Hope the baby stays in for another 4 weeks!!! Did they tell you to stay in bed, or that the pills should be enough?
Glad baby is OK and weighing in pretty good shape

OMg how scary!
I took those pills too for preterm contractions from 26-36 weeks (DD was born at 39 weeks).
Did they put you on bedrest too?
Take care of yourself, and try to take it easy, baby has some more cooking to do

I am so glad you are ok.
The doctor doesn't know why the bleeding started, but he said the bleeding triggered the contractions.

Yep I am on complete bedrest, and they said the pills should be enough to get me to at least 36 weeks.

I know how scary that can be...glad that all went well and that you are home safe...
My eldest daughter was born at 36 weeks..all 7lbs 15 oz of her!
