home offer process...UPDATE
If you make an offer on a house why does no one get back to you within a reasonable amount of time? I hate the whole game...so frustrating!
okay, vent over...
We have an accepted offer! I am so excited and now I have a question for our next step...Can anyone recommend a home inspection company? If you don't want to post it, please FM me! Thank you so much!!!

Re: home offer process
Are you dealing with a Real Estate Agent? If so, why not give a call and ask what the status is?

Re: home offer process
We are dealing with an agent but I am starting to get so tired of us having to call and check up on things and I don't want to look to anxious either since we do want the house. The whole back and forth game is starting to get a little annoying.

Re: home offer process
That only happened to me once and I finally had to put a limit on it.
I told the realtor that our offer expired on this day at this time and that if they didn't get back to us, we were walking away. I gave them three business days, that should have been enough time.
Also, there were bids I put in that were rejected because they were too low (30k too low) so I thanked them and basically told them we weren't bidding any longer. Over a week later, we got a call back with a counter, only $7,500. above our original offer.

thats my question too since we both have accepted offers
when i did a search on the home board "home sweet home" inspections came up a lot for recs and pillar to post came up a lot too
we might use one of them but dunno if they'll come to queens where we are so we might use a friend of a friend...maybe we'll get a deal of some sort

We used Tauscher Cronacher Engineers. They were very thorough and we were extremely happy with them.

Yay! Congratulations!
It's quite a roller-coaster of emotion isn't it?

pillar to post came up a lot too
Bill Murphy from Pillar to Post has done five inspections for my family within the last 2 months. I would not hesitate to go back to him.
He's just the right mix of getting the job done and personable. He never shows up alone, always with an apprentice. He and his assistant Barbara are great at what they do, and get you appointments asap.
If you want to call them, I'll FM you our names to use for the recco. Good luck!!

We used Steve from CJ Inspections. A few other people have used him as well. He is great!! He came to use highly recommended.
