Home owner question

With the market at what's it's at right now, do you think that $395,000 (asking was $409,000) is a good price for a 4 bedroom, 2 bath cape in Bethpage? Plainedge SD. We want to jump on it, its a great house, move in condition, we are just so nervous to take the plunge and are wondering how much more the prices will go down. Any advice would be great, thanks!

Re: Home owner question

If you find a house that you like then you should go for it. If you sit around to see if it will have any more price drops you run the risk of losing it.

Put in an offer that you are comfortable paying on the house.

Re: Home owner question

Sounds like a good deal to me! I would say that if you love it, and it's in a nice residential area away from commerical buildings and main roads - go for it! Good luck!! Chat Icon

Is $395K a first offer? I would think, in this market, that it would sell for that. IMO, 14K below asking is definitely not unreasonable.

Good luck! Chat Icon
