Home renovations question- worrying
Ugh so We are getting ready to sell our house. I'm 20 Weeks and we needed to paint our main floor and lay new carpet in our basement. We used no voc paint and I made sure both me and my 4 year old DS were out of the house for a week after painting was finished. But I didn't anticipate how bad the carpet smell of chemicals would be. It's pretty terrible. I stayed in another room the day it was being put in and we have kept the basement door closed and windows down there open but it's a small space. It's making my den smell too. I'm so worried. I haven't been sitting in my den very much because i can smell the carpet Any idea what we can do? I'm kicking myself I didn't do research ahead of time. We should have asked them to air the carpet out for a couple Of days before they installed it Thanks for reading if you got this far

They would not have aired it out as it would have needed to be laid flat and most places would not have room to do it. Plus when they stretch the carpet it would still smell.
Just keep fresh air in the house and you will be fine.

I don't think its a big deal. I've had rooms painted and carpeted while pregnant.
