Home Study Help!!
DH and I are just getting started with our homefinding case worker. We are very nervous and scared about the actual home study. We have a whole in the wall inside our shower that we have covered up to help from moisture getting in until we can get it fixed. Out of curiousity does anyone know if they look inside your closets and inside the showers?

Home Study Help!!
Homestudies are not as scary as you think. They really just want to make sure that the home is a safe and loving environment and that you have room for a child.
Our social worker didn't look in any closets or really open up anything. They just looked around and we pointed out the room where we were going to use as the baby room. Just make sure the house is clean and that you and your husband are on the same page about how to raise the child.
Our first meeting I went out and bought bagels and make coffee cake and had coffee brewing and it was total overkill. She didn't touch anything lol. They just want to make sure that the family is welcoming and safe.
If for some reason they do look in the shower, just tell them your getting it fixed before the child arrives.
Edited to say.... Good luck!!! : )

Re: Home Study Help!!
We went nuts getting the house ready for the home visit. Our caseworker barely looked around the house. She didn't go into rooms-not even the nursery. She did check to make sure we had fire alarms.
