She needs to get a life She must be fuming everytime she drives by your house and is probably just kicking herself for not having her house done before you.

all i can say is WOW! that is insane! some people are so greedy and lazy they will really try to sue for any reason just to get money. UNBELIEVABLE!
Hey I am all for a good frivolous lawsuit, don't get me wrong. But come on this is just ridiculous. Too bad you can't sue for envy. I'd be rich.

That is insane! How old is she?
Probably 50s. Funny because I finally figured out what house she lives in. She has a dumpy house with nasty shrubbery in the front.

D@mn think of the money she could have saved you on an architect!
The sad thing is I probably paid half of what she did for my architect. I used my contractor's architect so I got his discount. She used one of those "retail architects", most likely spent way over 6k for her plans. Im sure her plans are beautiful, too bad she can't afford to use them.

In essence, she COULD have had a case IF she had used the same architect AND he gave you plans that someone else bought.
Even if they were the same exact plans, she still has no case. You can't trademark or copyright plans. And you can't even steal plans. You still need an architect's stamp of approval for them to be legit. So even if I got a set of drawings, I would probably have to pay another architect just as much for him to "copy" the plans to get his seal stamp. If I am paying him full price, I might as well have him do some extras.

I would get a number sign made up for your house of her house number too
I like this idea. Lets assume I live on 10 Smith Street and she lives on 20 Smith.
I'll make a sign that looks like something like this.
-------------------------- | 10 Smith Street | | (not 20) | --------------------------

EXACTLY! This is what makes me happy. Especially every time I drive past the dump she lives in.
