Homeowner's Rate?

We just got quoted $1092 for the year on homeowner's insurance. DH and I think that's really good. Agree or no?

ETA: this is with State Farm. 4 bed, 2 bath, full basement, built in the 50's.

In all honesty, its hard to compare rates since each house is diff and has different value as in replacement value...and the additional coverages behind it.
But it sounds good.

Re: Homeowner's Rate?

it depends on the value of the house, not the land. make sure your dwelling is not the appraised value.

Sounds good, but all depends on the house, where it is, what is inside, etc...

Re: Homeowner's Rate?

Yup! that's the going rate, i believe.

Mine was that amt. until it went up some.

good for you!

PS, what's the square footage, that's most important (to replace the square footage you have currently).

Mine's 1975....

Re: Homeowner's Rate?

do you have multi-line? something to look into if you don't. i use state farm and get great discounts due to multi-lines (with cars, personal property, home owners, life, etc)
