Re: Honestly now...

Oh please, I didn't wash a damn thing before I put her on it, in it, near it. And she seems to be doing just fine! Call me a bad mommy, but I think she'll live.

I washed a lot of things but not everything. They grow quickly and if the baby is big they might not even fit in newborn and you may need to exchange. I would only wash a few things the next time.

I will not wash anything except for the outfit that she will come home in..maybe not even that. My mom never did with the 3 of us and we were all fine. When I told her that I was going to do that, she looked at me like I was wacko! LOL

Re: Honestly now...

I just can't see the point in it. I don't wash the clothes I wear unless of course its like bras/underware/bathingsuits.

Most of the onsies come packaged anyway.

Re: Honestly now...

I did with all the clothes I got before I was born...now, not so much...although I did wash all the stuff I bought her at Marshall's and TJ Maxx last week because they looked dirty to me...

Same here. Christopher was perfectly fine wearing things that weren't washed. Plus, we got SO many 0-3 month things and he was out of them so quickly that he didn't even wear them all. I ended up returning a lot of things, so I was glad that I didn't rip the tags off and wash everything.

That is another reason why I don't think I am going to wash everything.

Re: Honestly now...

I've read that the whole washing the clothes thing really is just part of the whole "nesting instinct", and that it's not actually necessary.Chat Icon
