Hope you dont mind the crash- have a question
So a very smart PG lady recomended that i start writing down my symptoms and feelings etc during 2ww and throughout cycle. So....since ive tested today and got BFN im sure im onto another cycle.
My question to you all is, if you had AF type cramping before BFP, can you explain it to me? Was it like your normal AF cramps? Where did you notice these cramps? What time of day? I want to see if next time i can notice a difference.
THANKS

Re: Hope you dont mind the crash- have a question
I had AF like cramps at 4-6DPO and then again at 9-10DPO. I was so sure she was about to arrive and arrive early to boot. Every time I peed I swore AF was going to be there - felt just like I was getting my period. Needless to say I was shocked when I got a BFP on 10DPO. I didn't notice them at a specific time of day, just sporadically on those days.
The biggest sign for me though (tmi alert) was my nipples (not my boobs) hurt so bad I would have been happier if someone chopped them off. They felt like they were on fire.
I also had major insomnia.

Re: Hope you dont mind the crash- have a question
I felt like AF was coming for a week. The cramps seemed a little worse than usual to me. The biggest sign was my complete and utter exhaustion. I also felt like I was coming down with something a week and 1/2 before my BFP~ Short of breath, lightheaded, fatigued.

Re: Hope you dont mind the crash- have a question
I did have AF cramps. The only difference was the location of the cramps. I had them in my lower midsection. I also notice the changes of my cervix. It was much tighter. (but I have read that it doesn't really make a difference)

i am not going to be of much help since they felt exactly like AF cramps to me... just earlier than normal (starting at 6DPO).

I had the same exact Af cramps that I had always gotten. I swore that AF was coming.

Re: Hope you dont mind the crash- have a question
They were pretty similar to AF cramps but not quite the same. For me they were more dull and constant. I knew I was pregnant as soon as I started feeling those.

to me those were different than normal af cramps.

Re: Hope you dont mind the crash- have a question
I had cramping starting at 5DPO and they continued throughout my 1 st trimester. They were pretty consistent throughout much of the day in the beginning and as I got further along they were less uncomfortable and frequent but they felt exactly like AF cramps for me. They were just as uncomfortable and I would've sworn AF was coming but obviously it never did. Good luck to you next cycle!!

Re: Hope you dont mind the crash- have a question
I felt AF cramps, they didn't feel any different at all than regular AF cramps. I did not feel them at any particular time. I have had the cramps all throughout the 1st trimester.

Re: Hope you dont mind the crash- have a question
I started getting them at 7 DPO and I still get them at 5 weeks. They feel like AF cramps. The only difference is they come and go. I might have one bad cramp that last for 5 min and not have another one until the next day. In the beginning I had them through out the day. I even got a little spotting one day. My cycles have always been really long, and I usually get spotting a week before AF arrives. The differences with this month was I was cramping and not spotting. Also, my boobs where really sore, more then usual. Another thing that made me think ,was when I went out for lunch. I ordered a shrimp taco, which I usually love, and I couldn't eat it. It disgusted me!!! That's when I new something was up.

Re: Hope you dont mind the crash- have a question
I had my normal AF symtoms, maybe a little more intense than normal, but still nothing really out of the ordinary.
By the way, I've never got my BFP until after AF was late, even with the super sensitive tests. My two sisters said it was the same for them with their pregnancies. Try to wait as long as possible to test (hard I know!) because those BFNs can be hard to deal with.

Re: Hope you dont mind the crash- have a question
I had AF cramps the week before my BFP, consistently each day. I could've sworn I was getting AF. I kept testing and it was coming up BFN and I would run to the bathroom each time the cramps would get stronger cause I was thinking I was getting AF. Then when I would go to the bathroom there would be nothing. It was very frustrating. I didn't end up getting my BFP until AF was 4 days late. Dr. said my cycle was off by 4 days that month. And here I am..almost in my 8th month and due in september.
It's not over till AF sings!

Re: Hope you dont mind the crash- have a question
What a smart little PG lady you've been talking to!
My cramps felt and still do feel like AF cramps, but not as strong. The only reason why I know this is b/c usually I am compelled to take some sort of ibuprofen on CD1 b/c cramping is pretty intense. I've never felt the need to take anything yet since I've been PG. They're more on and off, and I notice them more when I'm idle - probably b/c my mind is F#$cking with me.

Re: Hope you dont mind the crash- have a question
I charted my symptoms on MyMonthlyCycles.com for seven months leading up to my BFP. I noticed right before I got my BFP, I had a spike in the number and type of symptoms that I had earlier than I did in previous months. I loved that website because it was free and easy to track symptoms. I am able to go back and pinpoint exactly how I felt differently the month I got my BFP.
