Hopefully My LAST CIO post.
We finally went down without crying- ok, for about 30 seconds when I left the room, but that was it. She was awake but putting herself to sleep.
I hope we turned a corner- its been 7 nights Of course, we go to Atlanta tomorrow to visit my sis so all this hard work will be for nothing, right?

I'm glad to hear there's improvement! In Ferber's book, he does say that when you go on vacation try to keep your routine the same and make accomodations, but minimal ones, like rubbing their back instead of letting them sleep with you, etc. Honestly, Ava gets right back on track if she has a hard time sleeping somewhere else. We've never had a problem. Good luck!

good luck! i hope it all works out for you.. i cannot wait to use this method on my next child. dd is so spoiled, i never let her CIO.. and i pay for it now, lemme tell ya.

Thanks for the advice- She unfortunately has to sleep with me and my sis- she has a roomate and my BF is coming too. It will be tight for all of us. But I will try to keep to all of our other bedtime routines and of course we won't be going to bed with her at 7pm.
But maybe I can put her to sleep on the floor in her snuggle nest. I will try it.
Thanks everyone for putting up with my posts during this time. It really helped me.
