AHHH.... then this is a perfect segway to my next question...
How many of you let your baby CIO?
Bella won't go down (to sleep) without a fight, but I can't seem to bring myself to listen to her cry and cry.

Most don't recommend letting them cry until at least 6 months old if you decide to do it.
Tiny little ones don't get it. Good luck!

Christopher either
That being said, they cry at this age for a reason, even if that reason is just to be held.

Re: What is CIO? (plus new question)
I started my own version of CIO when DS was around 4months. By that time I had a better feel for his cries. If I knew he wasn't going to let up I would go to him, but if I knew he was going to fade out I would let him cry for up to 20 min. Now at 8 months we have a couple minutes of cuddle time and then he gets put down without a peep.

Re: What is CIO? (plus new question)
I just started trying to do it at almost 6 months old. Before that I would nurse her to sleep- bad habit I know now.
