Hoping you ladies can help-My SIL is 30 wks, some slight problems...
I was wondering if anyone has experienced the same thing?
She had her 30 wk apptmt. today-doctor told her that her cervix is very thinned out-its closed which is good, but very thin. He asked if she's been having contractions a lot, and she hasn't to her knowledge.
Anyone else told this??
Second thing-there is a cyst on the baby's brain. I hear this is common and it typically disappears, but just wondering if anyone else had this happen
Thanks ladies!

My sisters cervix was shortening at 30 (or so) weeks also, and she was not feeling contractions but when they put her on the machine at the Dr., they were sensing that she actually was having them. They gave her steroids to develop the baby's lungs just incase it was born, and put her on some sort of IV pump, medication, to stop the contractions for a few weeks (she was able to go home and be on bedrest during this and she would monitor her own contractions, I think a few times per day, w/a machine rented from the hospital) but in any case, the medication held off the contractions until she went off of it at 36 weeks, and she had her baby that night... a month early.
