Bring your own changes of clothes, toiletries, and maybe your own maxi pads, a few outfits for the baby if you wanna take pics. You really don't need much to be honest. I packed so much I didn't need...
Eta I did bring the boppy which was very useful

Loose comfy pants, t shirts, and zip up sweatshirts, bathroom stuff plus shower shoes, hair stuff (I have kinky curly hair it was important), flip flops, phone charger. List of numbers you may need. Books, magazines, cute baby clothes like one or two. socks. camera, charge the camera battery, always pads

hospital bag help
I packed - *snacks (just a little bag of chips and some cookies, but didn't eat much since so many people brought food!) *pads (my hospital gives HUGE non sticky pads - I got thin extra long) *toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant <-SO IMPORTANT, lol, brush, hair tie, shampoo, conditioner, body wash <-all travel size) *comfy clothes - loose sweatpants, loose shirt, cover up (though I gave birth in Feb and it was 75 sweltering degrees in the hospital room) *flip flops/socks/slippers
I made DH bring the bag with the baby stuff (going home outfit, cover for carrier, hat, and mostly empty bag to bring home formula & diapers) when he came to pick us up. I packed this beforehand and left it in an easy place where he could remember it!
I would suggest not over packing - If you're going to breastfeed and want a boppy, leave it in the car and have DH bring it up later. All baby stuff - leave in a separate bag and have DH bring up after baby is born (if you want it before you go home). You might want a camera - I would also put that in a bag for after baby comes out - you probably won't be wanting pics during labor ;)

Re: hospital bag help
Thing I found useful: Nursing tanks/yoga pants - After the first day, I changed into regular clothes and these were practical and comfy.
Toiletries, towel, camera, chargers, boppy, socks/slippers, flip flops, lip gloss
At the last minute I took my robe out the bag, but I could've really used it because the room was freezing and the hospital gown sucked.
I used the hospital underwear and pads.
I packed my ipad thinking it would occupy me since I was induced and I never touched it.

Re: hospital bag help
I agree with all of the above but I always brought thank you notes with me. That way if someone brought a gift to the hospital, I could get their thank you note finished before I left to go home. I
