Hospital Bag List
Anyone have a good list of needed items for hospital bag? I tried searching on here, and I'm just not finding what I need.
When did you start packing yours? It was suggested to me to wait to buy nursing bras until 2-3 weeks before due date, to make sure of your size (although I've not grown much at all in that department!)
Thanks!!

Wow I am really surprised to see you took a blowdryer, I can't imagine wanting to do my hair after giving birth.
Did you really feel up to it? Maybe I'll consider bringing mine along too.

Re: Hospital Bag List
When I took the childbirth preparation class at the hospital they told me to pack 2 bags....1 small one for the labor room (toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, very minimal items) and a suitcase for the longer stay in the postpartum room. They said they don't like anything besides the essentials in the labor room, so I should pack a smaller bag just for that...?

Re: Hospital Bag List
I went by a variation of the lists you find online/magazines and I TOTALLy used maybe a 3rd of everything.
My hospital bag now consists of:
Pillow socks hairbands chapstick bare min makeup Travel size Toiletries hard candy Going home outfit for me and baby bras underwear (taking them, but last time i wore the comfy comfy netting undies at the hospital, such a dream to wear) Some maxi pads to wear home-I HATE the hospital ones. slippers Dh also has most of the above packed too.
My hospital has a huge private birthing room. YOu labor, deliver and recover in the same room, it's like a huge suite. We have a fridge, tv, hairdryer in bathroom, pull out couch, it's private room, even a closet to hang stuff in.
ETA: I packed it by 34 weeks, will do the same with this pg even though I am getting a c section.

I have had 2 babies and I never needed anything from my bag during labor. I put my hair up before I left home (I always have a chapstick on hand, lol). I don't think you will need a toothbrush or the other things mentioned untill you are in the recovery room.
