Which hospital are you delivering your LO(s)?

I'm curious.

Did you pick your OB based on the hospital?

How do you feel about the hospital you are delivering at?

I delivered DD at South Nassau in Oceanside and loved it. But not sure where I will deliver these babies. I wanted to talk to my dr. about possibly delivering at Winthrop should they be early.

I'm probably going to be stuck at Good Sam since my Ob works out of there. I really would rather deliver at Stony Brook though. It's closer to my house and one of the best hospitals I know of.

I'm delivering at Stony Brook.
I pretty much live there (even though I actually live an hour away lol). Its comfortable for me and the Maternity floor is amazing.
I have a very close connection with Stony Brook so I'm always hearing of the advances they are making. I picked my Dr based on them delivering at Stony Brook.

South Nassau was my original choice because its closer...

But the two doctors im considering switching to are both at LIJ

NYU (I live in the city). I picked my dr first and this is where she delivers. I figured since it is a good hospital, should be ok.

I am also delivering at Stonybrook. I picked my Dr. by recommendations I got on here and it happened that they deliver at Stonybrook. I couldn't be happier.

I am delivering at Good Sam. I did not choose my dr based on the hospital even though Good Sam is close to me. But I would be comfortable delivering in a barn as long as my dr was the one doing it LOL

I am delivering at LIJ. I wanted to deliver at either LIJ or North Shore.

I delivered my son at Mt. Sinai in NYC.

LIJ- part of picking my ob was the hospital but I wouldnt have based it solely on that

I'll be delivering at Good Sam. I didn't pick my OB based on that. But, my mom does work there, so I knew that was where I would always end up. The nurses were great when I went through everything last year, so I definitely expect the same during happier times

I live in NJ and will be delivering at Morristown Memorial. I delivered my DD there as well and it was a great experience - private room, great nurses etc. I look forward to delivering there again!

I didn't pick my OB to deliver there but I'm happy with it. It's a good hospital though it's far from where I live now. I was born there too!!

I didn't answer my own question!

I'm delivering at LIJ. I live in Queens and I wanted to deliver some place close but not Brooklyn or Manhattan. It's a PITA in my opinion. I liked that they had a great NICU right there, in case anything happened. I originally wanted to deliver at NSUH but I'm really happy with my OB and his staff.

I was actually born at Good Samaritan, along with the rest of my cousins.

I'm delivering at Winthrop. I wanted a midwife, and wanted her to be affiliated with a hospital close to my house. It was recommended that I pick a hospital with a NICU, just in case. (I've heard of babies being sent to one hospital for treatment while the mom was in another... that did NOT sound like a good situation).

Huntington Hospital. Close to home, and we have close friends who work in Labor and Delivery and the NICU.

Picked my OB at the suggestion of the L&D friend we have.

I'm delivering at Huntington. It's a Northshore-LIJ hospital, but I chose other since I assume you meant the main LIJ.

It's so close to my house, I can walk there if I really had to (let's hope I don't ) and friends of mine have had good experiences there.

ETA: I chose my OB because he was minutes from my house and had a good reputation. I pretty much knew, based on the proximity, that he would be affiliated with HH.

St. Charles.

I wanted to deliver at Stony Brook, and had originally chosen a dr. that only delivers there only to find out the hospital doesn't take my insurance.

I delivered DD and DS at St. Catherine's.

ETA: My current dr. was chosen partially on hospital since I couldn't have a dr. that would only deliver at SBUH. But I went more on recommendations than hospital affiliation.

I went to my Dr before I was even thinking about babies. I really like and trust him, so no matter where he delivered I would still use him. That being said, I am excited to be delivering at Winthrop. I have heard good things and now they are making mommy/baby rooms private I am even more excited!!!

St. Charles, I delivered DD there and LOVED it.

Hopefully this time around it will be dead and I won't have to share a room. With DD they were actually turning women away b/c they had no more room!!

I switched practices after DD was born and it just so happens that they are affiliated with the same hospital.

I will be delivering at good sam. My RE recommended my OB and he delivers at good sam and southside. my OB said I will deliver at good sam because there NICU is better in case these nuggets come early
