Hotel for Essex, CT North Pole Express?
Just purchased tix (what a crazy mess might I add!) ...
If we decide to stay overnight, which hotel would you recommend?

Because it began at 9 lol. But even at 9:01 they were sold out

Every email I got form them for MONTHS said 10:00 - I had a stupid alarm set on my calendar !!!
I was supposed to get 18 tickets for 3 families !!! - I am SO unbelievably annoyed right now
But to answer your question - the Hampton Inn is where we stayed last year just outside of Mystic and it was VERY nice.

I was on at exactly 9 I had dec 6th in my cart and then by the time I checked out the date was sold out so that was 9:05!!!! So I ended up getting a different date but then at 9:15 I just wanted to check what was still available bc I was curious and every single Saturday except for before thanksgiving and after Christmas was sold out!!!! That's 15mins!!!
As for the op's question, we stayed at Hyatt place rt off the highway in mystic ....it is soooo nice would definitely stay there again...it's about a half an hr drive to essex

Same thing happened to me except I have November 29th in my cart. I put in my credit card and clicked place order and they were gone! I was so mad...this was at 9:05 also!

I didn't even bother with the one in CT this year.
We bought tickets for the one in Kingston this year. It's the 1st year they are doing it, but its the officially licensed train ride from Warner Brothers and book.
So I'm hoping this is more like the movie/book than the one in CT which has their own songs etc.

We are going to this one too. We were lucky enough to get a Sat., but the 6:00 train. I would have preferred the 4, but it will be cute to have it actually be at night.

They went on sale at 9. The Saturdays and Sundays in December were sold out in a matter of minutes. I tried to purchase tickets on several different dates in my cart, but they were gone by the time I put my payment info in. We ended up getting a November date. So annoying.

The CT one isn't Polar Express themed at all. I prefer the actual Polar Express story and "magic". We did the Polar Express Trolley out east last year and loved it. It was also a licensed event. I'll have to check out Kingston.
