Hotels near Hershey???
I'm looking for advice on hotels near Hershey. The ones just outside are soooo expensive.
I'm looking for one that's reasonably priced, kid-friendly, and I don't have to drive too far.
Does anyone have any suggestions??

We stayed at a Comfort Inn in Harrisburg, but it was 10 minutes from Hershey and great.
Would you stay in Lancaster? It's 30 minutes away, but so kid friendly with tons of restaurants and outlet shopping. We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Lancaster and it was beautiful. Clean, great pool nice breakfast. I would absoltuely stay there again. Other than Hershey Park there's not a lot to do over by Hershey. Lancaster has so much more- also the Hampton Inn is 5 m inutes from Dutch Wonderland.

We stay at the Red Roof in Harrisburg which is about 10 - 15 minutes from Hershey.

We stayed at the Marriott in Harrisburg, and we liked it.
Marriott
We had also gotten a package deal with the hotel and the Hershey Park tickets that saved me I think $50 or so.

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn, not expensive and only 3 minutes from Hershey. We have stayed at the Hershey Lodge 2X but too $$. We are staying at the Sheraton Harrisburg (in 2 weeks) , 10 minutes from Hershey a great indoor outdoor pool and they have a Hershey Package!! Not too much $$ either!

I used to live in Harrisburg - and work in Hershey - and I lived right by this Comfort inn...it's right off the highway, there is a Perkins restaurant (kind of like ihop) across the street and it's 8 miles to Hershey...straight down one road...
There is also a Holiday inn two exits back on Interstate 81, that would be about 12 minutes from Hershey...
