Hotels with great pools?

I know - sounds silly, but no matter where we take our boys (Disney World included) they love the pool the best -
We don't have one, and are not looking to install one for a few years .......

so can you recc. a hotel w/ a great pool? If it's near/on the beach that's a bonus

We really liked the pool at the Best Western Eden in Lancaster. My boys both had a blast!

My guys also love the pools at the resort we stay at in Myrtle Beach - the Myrtle Beach Resort and the Sheraton Broadway Plantation there (they have a whole splash area and pirate ship set up).

Re: Hotels with great pools?

thanks - we were just @ Eden for Dutch Wonderland (again, they loved the pool vs the park - and even the water park there!)
and Myrtle is a bit too far .......

I was hoping for a 4 hr or under drive

Crystal Springs Resort in NJ has a nice looking pool. Actually they have a few at their properties. Never been though.

Also the Hilton Suites on the water in Ocean City MD

Re: Hotels with great pools?

You could probably get a good rate at Great Wolf or Cocoa Key since its summer.

Just be aware that your swimwear will get destroyed in the Crystal Springs pool. The pool has a very high chlorine rate and it ate through my swim suits. The pools are not as pretty as the ones at Eden. They have a lot of rock outcroppings too. I did like the hotel and thought it was really romantic. There were a few families with kids, but mostly couples.

I did not like nor would I recommend Coco Key in NJ. They let roving gangs of teenage children ram roughshod over the toddler pool and did nothing about it. No parents seemed to care and the management did nothing when I pointed it out to them. They were so rough that a toddler nearly drowned and was kicked by one of the teens. I thought the management handled it extremely poorly and it was not my kid. I felt horrible for the parents of the child.

I have not been to Sahara Sams but that is a water park in NJ - perhaps someone else has a recommendation.

Now I have really liked Great Wolf, but the carpets and wall paper could use a refurb. The water area is great.
