House closing question
we're closing on our house later today (yay!) but during the walk thru we found a few things werent working:
1. electric wall oven turns on but doesnt heat up
2. a desk attached to the wall was removed when no fixtures should be removed (and now theres wall paper missing from areas of the wall where the desk was attached)
3. A pressure valve on the boiler is dripping water and needs to be checked out.
4. When we opened one of the windows the outer window falls down and off the track.
so our lawyer wants to know if we want to go for a credit or have money put in escrow. anyone have an idea how much you would ask for to compensate for these problems? Thanks for any feedback!

Re: House closing question
Your lawyer would decide what is reasonable. How much is a new oven vs. getting it fixed? Wallpaper removal plus fixing the wall. They might keep $2k in escrow for this.
