how are you cleaning the baby's soft toys?

how are you cleaning the baby's soft toys?
Some of the toys etc... say surface clean only with a damp cloth. How should I wash them? Should I put anything on the cloth?
What are you ladies doing?

most of mine said to just clean the surface, but i put all the stuffed animals-except the ones that have batteries in them in a pillowcase, i tied it up and put it in the washing machine w/dreft.
I then left them outside to dry in the sun. They all came out great!
