how can I get Luce to like the baby carrier?
my life would be so much easier (and my guilt less immense) if I could get him to like being in the carrier.
he hates it. I can get maybe 10 minutes before he wigs.
is it something he just has to get used to? I am kicking myself for not getting a newborn sling. I waited until he was big enough for this carrier and now he hate it. 
I have the Chicco you and me.

Do you try letting him face out? Yael preferred the bjorn that way, but I have to say, she really didn't like the Bjorn until she was older. I don't think the carriers are as comfortable for younger babies as wraps or slings. She ADOOOOORED the moby wrap and would konk out within nanoseconds anytime I put her in that.

Jack hated the Bjorn, Tyler loves it - I just think it's the baby.

Would you be open to getting a different carrier? I have a mei tei (from babyhawk.com) and whenever I try Amelia with her legs apart she hates it. I am able to bend her legs in the carrier and she's much more comfortable.

I started facing Yael out in her bjorn around 3 months - I don't know about your carrier, but the bjorn has a little added support on their chin area so their head doesn't totally flop around.

I definitely think you could try face out. I think they need good neck control and to be at least 11 lbs (i could just be making this up). Anyway, Joshua is 17 week old and I put him face out a few weeks ago, he enjoys looking out at the world. I have a Bjorn and it has padding that seems to help hold them up. He seems secure in there and luckily, content. Now if I just remembered to use it more.

No, try it! I started using it at exactly 3 months and faced her out. She loved it, we use it all the time still.

I was going to say that as well. We have the Moby wraps. They can be used to 30 lbs I think....I am going to find a pic

I had the hot sling and Ryan hated every single second of it.
But would always pass out in the BJorn. But, I stopped using it around 15 weeks because he got to heavy for my back.

I've read in some of your posts about BFing and how much DS likes to be "attached" to you. My DD was the same way at that age and I could NEVER put her in the baby carrier facing in because all she wanted was b00bies  She would root around and lick my shirt and then cry hysterically when she realized she wasn't getting any. Something about being so close to the "forbidden fruit" drove her nuts 
Once I faced her out, no problems.

def face him out. Logan LOVES his carrier- i've had him in it since he was about 3-4wks old (facing in), and moved to facing out at 8wks. He was 13lbs and had total head/neck control at that point.
eta: he HATED the sling. He wanted to be upright all the time.
