I used to use Minwax (it comes in a pen) or theres a doughy kind of stuff that Minwax also makes that you can use to fill the scratch if its a deep one.
Home depot carries it.

There's a product sold at Ace Hardware (sorry, can't remember the name) that minimizes scratches. I bought it a couple years ago when I was renting and it did a great job on the floor. I can't find it on their website, but I bought it at the Ace in Bellmore. It was in the cleaning section.

I don't know any cheap/quick fixes but there's always getting it refinished.
