How can i read to my DS andnot have him eat/rip the book?

DS is 7.5 months old and when i read to him at night he literally rips the books out of my hands to eat it and has actually ripped some of his nice books.

I know he likes being read to but he is ruining his nice books any suggestions on how to read to them when they are getting their teeth?

I feel like he is missing out on an important part of learning.

I havent read to him all week Chat Icon

I only read and give DD board books right now. (she's 16 months) because she will still rip at the pages.

My suggestion too - it was at this point I had to box the regular books up for Ryan and switch to board for a while. He is just now (last 6 months or so) allowed to have the regular page ones back.

I dont read DD any books with paper pages! Only board books..I will save the nicer books for when she is older.

at that age I ONLY read board books to DD.

I get too upset if a book gets torn so I stopped reading anything that was easily destructable.
