How close to my arrival should I buy the Disney Park tickets?
We are leaving first week in May. Can we do it right before or does it have to be some a months or so before? I mean, there is no limit on how many people can have park tickets on any given day, right? :)

Are you staying on site? If so, you need to buy your tickets at least 60 days out so you can make your Fast Pass plus reservations. If you aren't staying on site, it doesn't matter. But I would buy them from somewhere that sends you actual tickets, and not vouchers you need to exchange for tickets, because then you will be standing in line at the gates which is annoying.

We are staying off site, so I guess that means we have plenty of time. Thank you for the vouchers vs. tickets tip!!

Re: How close to my arrival should I buy the Disney Park tickets?
I bought my Disney (and Universal) tickets through this site, and saved a good amount. Right now they only have tickets up that expire 3/31, but keep checking back, they update periodically. They are RFID tickets (which you want) that I easily added to my Disney account (but that won't apply to you staying off site).

Oh, and I've used Orlando Ticket Club 3 times without issue. Their prices are much cheaper than Disney prices, and every other site (aside from the above).

I would make sure wherever you buy them they are authorized wdw ticket dealers. Undercover tourist has some deals. The ONLY benefit to buying soon is that ticket prices do go up sometimes I want to say they might have gone up in the spring last year bug I didn't really pay attention. You also have to get them mailed to you. You could monitor mouse savers and dis boards for rumors of an increase and then jump otherwise I would buy about 30 days before.
There is ONE catch. There is a remote chance that WDW changes their off site day of FP+ policy and if they do if you have your tickets you can jump on that. Otherwise you would have to wait for them to come in to reserve your FP+ in advance. But this might be a moot point.

I got my tickets at the Disney Store and no issues. Just easier to have before and in my hands so don't have to worry about when they'll come in the mail.
