How did everyone get involved with LIW/LIF
Obviously most of us heard about LIF through LIW...but how did you come across LIW???
The only reason I ask...is because I recommend it to anyone and everyone I meet...I wonder how many people join...just through word of mouth...or from showcases and stuff...

I can't even hardly remember how I found LIW, it was so long ago. I think I was just looking for info on Google and one of the threads came up for LIW...I was hooked immediately!!!

i think i typed in long island weddings or something b/c it was right when i was debating a wedding on LI or in Vegas.

DH found out about theknot while he was secretly paying for an e-ring for me. Then, after he proposed, he told me about it.
I was on there for over a year. I think nsgraham told me about LIW

I was on the knot too for a while before I discovered liweddings. OPne day I did a google search for LI and weddings and there it was!

I had found it but never really went on... Then Pschica (a friend of mine from college) recommended it to me so I started going on more... then the addiction began!!

Actually .. it was my DH that 'found' LIWeddings by doing a search for it on Google .. and he FORCED me to join since he felt that I needed a lot of help to plan our LI wedding (being as though I was not a LIslander and we had such a short engagement)
At first I thought it was sooo sillie and did NOT want to post at ALL.. well 11,000 posts on LIWs later.. and now 2K++ here...
I think he has lived to regret that fateful day

I found it through longisland.com or something like that. Complete accident. I was looking for things to do on LI. I was already married but I was a "lurker" for a while. I was interested because this year I have so many weddings and I am in 3 weddings (one already happened last weekend).
I was hooked!
