Clean as a whistle. No issues.
But I think the seller was a little upset that he had to reinburse me for occupying the house till December 5th. I didn't get the keys yet.
We agreed he could stay there till the 5th and we both sort of agreed that we wouldn't charge him for it.
But the attornies said we would change him the 100-200 a day or whatever it was. But he is still supposed to pay my mortgage interest and property taxes. So i'll be saving a good $1000 or so.
But I did get one little annoying surprise. Apparently Levittown raised their school taxes at some point. So my yearly taxes went up $500 buks. I am not happy about this. Gonna start the greivance process next week.

Congrats!!! We also had to be reimbursed because the sellers were going to be staying another 10 days after closing. They too didn't seem thrilled about i.

Question for you...since they are staying in YOUR home now...is there money in some type of escrow account for any damage they might cause in the time they are there? How is it handled?

when we closed, the owners remained for about 4 days. money was held in escrow and wasn't released until we had full possession and did our FINAL walk through.

Yeah what she said.
All I have to do to "sign off" on it... is to sign the possession agreement when they hand me the keys (after I do final walk through) and that form is given to their lawyer to release the escrow money.
