How did you kick the swing nap habit?
Well, my DD is quite something...she has been napping in the swing since a newborn, she is 5 months old. I have been doing everything in my power to get her in the crib..she takes 20 minute naps in there and wakes up screaming...i put her in the swing, she smiles and takes a 2 hour nap... She is 16lbs and getting a little big for the swing and i am trying to get her to nap in the crib. Do i just keep trying and quit the swing cold turkey..? She is so tired i had to finally put her in there as she hasnt napped more than 20 min stretches in 2 days... What would you do?

my dd naps in the swing, she is 22 pounds her legs stick out of it. We dont turn it on anymore. She loves it and we are fine with it. As long as she is sleeping we dont other. But at night she sleeps in the bed.

I did a transition, I would let him swing to sleep, then turn the swing off but let him nap in the swing. Then I would let him swing until he was super drowsy then put him in the crib. I had to kick the swing & the swaddle around the same time and it was tough! GL!

I dread that moment.... DS is super-tall (but doesn't weigh much).... he's wearing size 2T but still fits into his swing mercifully.
Whenever he's fussy and can't fall asleep dispite us rocking him, the 2 things will get him to finally zone out and sleep.... the swing, or the car...
once he finally weighs too much for the swing, we'll have to go for a 'joy ride' every time he's cranky
