Re: how did your toddler react if you moved to a new place?
Ava had just turned 2 when we moved. She is also VERY set in her ways and in her routine. She abandoned her crib for a toddler bed, but other than that, I swear, she absolutely loved moving and taking pride in her new bedroom. We just made it fun for her. GL!

It took about a month before we stopped hearing requests to "go home". (Joseph was just over 2; Maddie was a baby.)
Transitionwise, he loved his room.

Re: how did your toddler react if you moved to a new place?
We've moved my daughter twice. Once when she was 20 months and again at 3.5. Both times we tried to keep as much the same as possible in the new house - including my pediatricians recommendation not to wash her sheets. Feels weird to put used sheets back on the bed, but the familiar smell does make sense. We tried to keep a smile on our face about how exciting it was and not show any reason for concern (just like when a kid falls and looks to you to know how to react.) It really wasn't a big deal either time. I find daylight savings more disruptive!

Julia was just turning 3 when we moved and she was so excited, never had any problems. She loved running around the house, and it made it easier on her when we started to bring her toys over so she could play with them.
