How do Beaches resorts compare to luxury hotels?
I was planning to go to Beaches Turks and Caicos later this year. Our friends just asked us to go to Four Seasons Nevis with them. Beaches is actually more expensive then the Four Seasons. We both have 2yo boys.
Why is it so expensive? Is it because you are pretty much paying for daily amusemet park tickets?

OMG...I LOVE Beaches...We are avid travelers and this place blows away any resort I have ever been too.
It is so so so so kid friendly - waterpark, lazy river, kid resteraunts, Sesame street shows and parade's, cooking with cookie monster...OMG..the list goes on and on. They also have great adult only resteraunts and day camp till 10pm.
I give up all my gifts for the year so that we can go each year. Its a super fast direct flight and the people are amazing...DO IT!!

How are the facilities? Is it like 5 star?
I'm sure that the resort is jam packed with kid activities. I wonder if DH would let us go to both the Four Seasons Nevis and Beaches. Doubtful.

We didn't stay at beaches in Turks but we did walk over to look at it. It reminded me of Disneyworld. We have stayed at the 4 seasons in Nevis and we loved it!!! They were actually very kid friendly. Not sure if my response really helped .

I was thinking it's really expensive because it's like paying for theme park tickets daily like at Disneyworld.
How are the actual rooms? Luxurious?

The rooms in Nevis have been renovated since we were there. I'm sure they are luxurious. I don't have experience with the rooms at beaches. I know people rave about that hotel though.
