How do/did your newborns sleep?
I have been putting my boys in the inclined to sleep positioners and they worked great the first few weeks but now they fidget all the way down to the point their heads are by the sides and i am worried about that. I was thinkng of just putting them in their sleep sacks, but is that comfortable for them with no pilow? The inclined to sleep has a slight wedge that has padding for their heads.
My husband is also afraid they are going to roll over but they are only 5 weeks and i don't think that happens for awhile??
Any help on what you did in the beginning would be great. My boys do not like to be swaddled either.

Connor didn't like the swaddle wither. I used a sleep sack with no poitioner when he was that little. He would squirm to the bottom. They are more than comfy with no pillow. Connor still doesn't have a pillow at 17 months old.

Once DD started sliding down the sleep positioner I stopped using it. I put her flat on her back and she was fine, she slept well. My ped told me to start having her sleep on her belly bc her a/r was so bad - so we do that now and she sleeps SO much better.

Since DS was 5 weeks old we've been using the swaddle-me and he's been sleeping a good 8 - 9 hours at night.

I had the inclined sleep post. too and DD started to wiggle down it as well so I had to stop using it but then I would find her little face pressed up against the bassinett (she squirms all night!) so I bought a flat sleep post and so far so good.

samantha has been a squirmer since she was born - refuses to sleep on her back, always rolls to her side.....our ped told us to skip the sleep positioner and allow her to move herself (which she gladly does no matter how many times mommy or daddy puts her on her back!) - she is a swaddle girl and loves it though...we haven't used our sleep sack yet b/c she so loves the swaddles!
