How do I find out the new practice a doctor goes to when leaving another?

How do I find out the new practice a doctor goes to when leaving another?
DC has to see a specialist every few months. I got a phone call last week that the specialist (who we love) has left the practice and accepted another position somewhere else. They wouldn't tell me where. Is there any way that I can find out? We would really like to follow this doctor.

Why wouldn't they tell you where? I think by law they have to if he went to another practice...........or, call your insurance company?

Why wouldn't they tell you where? I think by law they have to if he went to another practice...........or, call your insurance company?
they don't tell you because they don't want you to follow him! They want your business there!! 
Just wait a few weeks and Google his name, I am sure it will come up to where he is going.

call hour insurance company to find out where the doctor is, and if they tell you he is still with the old practice you can let them know he is no longer with them and they will need to update his records... and give them a few days and call back
