How do I get Alex to sleep past 5am???
Ok, I know this is every new parent's dilemna, but I thought we were WAY past this! Before daylight savings time, Alex was waking up between 6am-7am everyday for a couple of months. Now, with the change of time, I'm putting her to bed at her normal bedtime (7pm) but she's waking up every freakin' day at 5am! I'm exhausted, she's exhausted and cranky. Any advice on how to get her to sleep an extra hour?

Re: How do I get Alex to sleep past 5am???
We've actually started putting Miranda to bed later. Her bedtime used to be 7pm and now it's around 8-8:30 and on occasion 9pm and she will generally sleep until 7. She does nap from about 3-4 or 5pm though so the later bedtime isn't an issue. On days she doesn't take that nap she's in bed at 7 and usually up before 6.

Same thing here with my Alex (7.5 months). Ever since the time change, we went from a 6:30 am wakeup to a 5:30 am, even though bedtime is the same.
I actually get up every day at 5:30 with my DH, but man I'm missing that hour to myself I used to have.

I'll take 6:30. Anything before 6 am is a nightmare! I can deal with 6:30 or even 6.

Try to put her to bed later like 8 or 9pm.
Julia goes to bed at 9-9:30, and she sleeps till 8:30-9am.

Can join this club too? Putting Nate to bed later doesn't help, he just gets really cranky.
