How do I get DS to sleep and wake up later?

He is 8 weeks old and lately he's been going down at around 7:30-8PM and getting up at around 6AM.

I want him to go to bed just 1 hour later and wake up later for a few reasons:

1. DH does not get home till 7:30-8, so he does not get to spend any time with him during the week. I will have the same schedule when I go back to work and the thought of not spending any time with DS breaks my heart.

2. I am NOT a morning person. 6 AM is just way too early for me.

Here's his current schedule:

6-6:30 - DS Eats
7:30-8 - DS falls asleep
9:30-10PM - I dream feed DS
3-3:30 - DS eats and falls right back to sleep
6-6:30 - DS wakes up for the day.

If I could get him to sleep an hour or an hour and 1/2 later and wake up the same, it would be so much better.

Do you think I should try to keep him up 15 minutes more every couple of days?

At this age- you should be hitting your knees and thanking the good Lord for being so luckyChat Icon DD didn't have any semblence of a schedule until at least 4 months.

I find that no matter what I do DD still wakes up between 6-6:30. I kept pushing her bedtime earlier and I thought she would wake up earlier, but it is still the same. I think her clock is just set for 6ish. That might be the same for your DS. Sorry!
