How do I get rid of a smell...
I have this smell in my house...I have no idea what it is....or wear it is coming from...but I am preg and it is making me SICK.....
What can I do to get rid of it? Any strong floral smells...I can't handle.
Thanks!!!
Right now I am boiling Cinnamin and water on my stove...that is helping...

They sell this stuff at home depot that you open up and put where ever you smell something awful and it's supposted to take it all away.
We bought a house that STUNK of curry. I had one of those in my kitchen cabinets and it really helped.
I don't recall the name.

I would try and figure out what is causing the smell, if at all possible. Otherwise, you're just masking it. If you can find the source, you will immediately decrease the smell, and you can mask it until the smell is totally gone.

This is what I was planning on recommending. Otherwise as another poster already suggested see if you can get one of those things that is supposed to absorb & eliminate odors.

I would add some citrus to the boiling water. Clove or orange. That should do the trick. Hope you find where it's coming from!

I was going to say microwave an orange or lemon for 30 secs in a cup of water
eta: the fruit should be cut open

Deactivated Charcoal. It works like Baking soda in your fridge only better. It absorbs all ordors. You can find it in most stores where you find cleaning products.

Have you tried using an air purifier? I kept mine running near my bed when I was pregnant.

You can also try boiling some white vinegar and water. I do this now and then and it works.

Re: How do I get rid of a smell...
I just read this online a few days ago and MIL did it and it worked.
She doesn't have central air so her house is very damp and gets little sun.
Sprinkle your rugs and furniture(fabric covered only) with baking powder. let it sit for 20 mins or so then vacuum up. it removes any smells and its completely safe for kids pets and leaves behind no smell!! I swear it worked great!!!

Are your potatoes or onions rotting?
