How do I get rid of the wood smell from the baby's dresser drawers

We got our furniture about 2 weeks ago and only lined the botton with those stickons...then we left the drawers open to air out and get rid of the smell...tonight I washed some baby clothes and I went to put them away and the drawers still have that smellChat Icon ...is there anyway to get rid of that smell safely? I feel like all the clean clothes will end up smelling like that strong wood/glue or whatever it is smellChat Icon ...Thanks for your help!Chat Icon

You could use some lavendar sachets or something - but not sure if that would be too strong of a smell for the baby. Maybe dryer sheets?

I just experienced this problem this week when mine got delivered. DH cut up yankee candle air fresheners and put them in the drawers.

They sell Arm & Hammer baking soda round "discs" so to speak that you can stick on the side of things. I wouldn't stick them into the drawers, but you could place one into each drawer for a week or so. That would absorb the smell rather than trying to hide it, and it won't leave an any kind of overpowering strong smell in the drawers.

I would say try downy dryer sheets. I went shopping the other day and left them in my over night (I was to lazy to take everything out when I got home Chat Icon ) and the next day my truck smelled so nice Chat Icon

You can also buy drawer paper that has pretty fragrances. I have used these in the past and they were great.
