How do I handle this?
I co-consult on a case with another behavior consultant. It's a long story, but really, this consultant does not do much.
I have been finding out when I cannot attend team meetings, he bad mouths me.
I ignored it the 1st time, but since he was also rude to one of my therapists, I sent him an email addressing it. He claimed he had no idea he hurt her feelings. Whatever.
Now I find out he not only bad mouthed her when she wasn't there, he also bad mouthed me (he only speaks up when I'm not around). Since I heard it from another therapist, I decided to send this consultant an email asking him how the meeting went, and is there anything that transpired that I should know about?
He never responded to the email. Usually he responds right away.
The next day, I send another email asking again, and also stating that I wanted to give him a chance to express any concerns, since I heard that some unprofessional things were said at the meeting. I told him I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, and give him the opportunity to share his concerns with me.
I still have not heard from him. I have a team meeting with him on Tuesday.
Should I just wait and tear him a new one Tuesday night?

Re: How do I handle this?
I don't have any advice but just wanted to say I see this happen all the time in my field with people who are supposed to be on the same team. It's really freakin' aggravating.
I'm curious too to see how others deal with it.

Re: How do I handle this?
I'm finding out it's getting even worse. Another former colleague of mine is trying to get me fired from my job by telling lies about me.
I have been so depressed.
I love working with people and I'm so passionate about what I do.
DH says it threatens people. We are all on the same team. What is wrong with people????

Liza you are doing too much to figure out this nut. Him bad mouthing you at a professional mtg only makes him look like the idiot. Dont sweat it....so he doesnt like you....Oh friggin well. Boo hoo to him! This isnt kindergarten. He doesnt have to like you but he better respect you the next time hes in a mtg or if I were you I might have to take it to higher powers. I am just saying....
